Matthew Perry Looks Happy & Healthy In New Pic With This Friends Co-Star After Rumors Of Relapse
Friends star Matthew Perry made headlines recently when he was spotted on a date with a mystery woman while looking “like a homeless man,” and the pictures sparked concerns that the actor had suffered a possible relapse. Just a few days later, though, Perry has shown up in a pic on Courteney Cox’s Instagram page; and thankfully, the actor looks happy and healthy.
On Thursday, Cox posted a selfie with Perry and delighted fans with a look at Chandler Bing and Monica Geller circa 2019. And, Cox’s caption for the pic was pretty fantastic.

“Guess who I had lunch with today….I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends,” wrote Cox.
The picture was so sweet – and the duo looked so good – it prompted responses from Friends co-stars, other celebrities, and numerous fans.
Lisa Kudrow wrote, “Lucky lucky. #beautiful people,” and Jennifer Aniston added, “MATTY!! ❤️❤️❤️ I LOVE YOU, GUYS.”
Mom star Allison Janney wrote, “Love you Matthew💖,” and Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet commented, “High quality content!”
It was obvious that many people were concerned about Perry after the pics from his recent night out, and they voiced their delight that Perry appeared to be doing well. Of course, fans loved the image of Monica and Chandler together again.
The 50-year-old Perry has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for years. He went to rehab twice during the ten-season run of Friends, and then he returned in 2011 for a third time. By 2013, the actor was sober and healthy, and he even opened up his own sober house called The Perry House to help other addicts.
But, by 2016 The Perry House was closed, and rumors started to swirl that Perry was using again after eyewitnesses spotted him allegedly drunk and talking to himself outside of a London restaurant. And then, earlier this year, staff at a New York hotel snitched that they saw Perry drinking heavily during his stay.

Matthew Perry hasn’t spoken about his drug and alcohol problems in years, but it is a relief to fans that he looked so good in Cox’s pic. This is the second high-profile Friends reunion pic that has gone viral in recent weeks, as Aniston nearly broke Instagram when she posted a reunion photo of the entire cast when she joined the social media site last month.
The reunion photos continue to fuel rumors that an on-screen reunion is happening soon.

Until then, fans can watch all ten seasons of Friends on Netflix until the end of 2019. Then, it will move to HBO Max in 2020.
